With the baseball glove I bought partly with money made mowing lawns in Augusta in 1955. (Dad and I split the cost.) Together, my father and I attended no fewer than thirty-five Augusta Tigers games that summer. This was also the year my favorite team, the Brooklyn Dodgers, won its only World Series title. I would later attend the same Louisville high school Dodgers captain Pee Wee Reese graduated from some years before.
